ABOUT & CONTACT
Tools built around a specific need.
Backstitch is part of Our Niche Hub. Our Niche Hub builds web tools to meet niche needs that existing tools do not fully serve.
Why a backstitch tool?
Turning a line drawing into a backstitch chart can mean redrawing it on graph paper or working around converters designed for filled cross-stitch. Backstitch keeps lines as lines on an editable, numbered grid.
A line drawing and a filled cross-stitch picture need different treatment. Backstitch follows SVG stroke centres, so a simple line can remain a line on a numbered chart. Images can also sit behind the grid as a reference for manual tracing.
Try the downloadable example to go from a simple SVG drawing to an editable chart, or follow the guide with your own drawing.
